2017 Departure Pinot Noir
Powerful (yet Graceful), Seductive, Complex
A "Departure" from our Study in Willamette Valley Terroir, where we select the very best barrels, from multiple sites, to create a cuvée that is the marriage of the best of each.
This wine reveals a seductive perfume of blackcherries, blueberries, and powdered rose petal, with hints of cigar box, baking spices, anise, and cola, around a mineral core. This is a full body wine, with lively acidity and broad, velvety, persistent texture. The long finish lingers with a chorus of blackcherries, rose petal, and sandlewood.
